90-day Assignment in Landstuhl, Germany. Period A: May/Jun/Jul; Period B: Jul/Aug/Sep


Company provides round trip flight, local lodging in hospital community, and automobile for use in hospital community. Health/dental/vision/401k benefits available. 


1.2.4 QUALIFICATIONS. United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.


Graduate of a school of professional nursingapproved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement for graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.


Current, full, active, and unrestricted registrationas a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.


English Language Proficiency. RNs appointed to direct patient care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).


1.2.4.1 Education:  IMPORTANT: A transcript must be submitted with your application if you are basing all or part of your qualifications on education.
Note: Only education or degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education from accredited colleges, universities, schools. If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education.



  1. Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required.



    1. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience.

    2. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience.

    3. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required.

    4. Nurse III- Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree


1.2.4.2. Licensure/Registration: Shall have and maintain a professional license, certification and/or registration as required by the profession and appropriate regulatory bodies. This license shall be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid (the issuing authority accepts and considers QA information (i.e. practitioner professional performance and conduct in determining continued licenses, and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction). The license shall be examination based and one that is granted by the recognized licensing agency of a state in the United States of America, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the Virgin Islands.


1.2.4.3. a. BSN preferred.


              b. Must have a minimum of three years of critical care experience. Advance Cardiac Life Support certification is required with CCRN preferred.


1.2.4.4. Life support training. The Contractor employees shall possess and maintain current course completion documentation for basic cardiac life support (BCLS) through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program.  The contract HCPs are responsible for maintaining these certifications in a current status at all time while performing services under this contract.


1.2.45. Network Access and Security Training:  All users must receive IA awareness training tailored to the system and information accessible prior to being granted information system access. Users will receive annual refresher training to maintain information system access. (AR 25-2, para 4).  All personnel shall ensure that their profile data and IA training and certification information in the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) is current. New personnel will register at https://atc.us.army.mil at the time of appointment.  Antiterrorism Level 1 Training is required annually for contractor personnel performing OCONUS.
