Urologist Jobs
Urologist
Urologists are physicians with a specialty in diagnosing and treating patients with medical conditions affecting the urinary tract or the male reproductive system. Physicians must complete both an undergraduate education and medical school. Following medical school, prospective physicians take an exam to become licensed physicians. Then, a physician must complete a residency and fellowship in a chosen area of medicine. A residency in urology takes five years to complete. Whether an individual works as an internal medicine physician or a surgeon will determine the salary of the urologist. Urologists earn between $160,000 and $275,000, with urologist surgeons earning the most. Job prospects for urologists will continue to be good over the next decade, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
