Career opportunities in the radiology field include radiology technicians, nurses, and radiologists. Educational requirements vary by position, but a radiology technician completes an Associate’s Degree, and a physician must complete medical school and a residency focused in radiology before becoming a radiologist. The salary for a career in radiology varies according to the position but a radiology technician earns $45,000 to $65,000 per year and a radiologist will earn $125,000 to $175,000 per year.
