Home Health Staff (non nursing) Jobs
Home Health Services
A new trend in healthcare services is to provide care and treatment in a patient’s home instead of a hospital or clinic. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that positions in home healthcare will continue to be good. There are many career opportunities in this field including positions as home health aides, nurses and physical therapists. Individuals visit a patient in their home, but the patient’s physician continues to closely monitor the care provided. Educational requirements vary according to the position. For example, a physical therapist must earn a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree before working in their field. The expected salary for each position varies, with home aides earning $10 per hour and nurses averaging $50,000 per year.
