As a U.S. Army Nuclear Medicine Officer, you will be responsible for providing essential nuclear medicine services to Soldiers, retirees, and their families, playing a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of conditions using advanced imaging and radiation techniques. You will conduct both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, utilizing specialized equipment to monitor and treat various diseases, including cancer, heart conditions, and more.


In this role, you will work alongside multidisciplinary teams of medical professionals to ensure the best care for Soldiers. Your expertise will help enhance the Army's capabilities in radiology and patient care, leveraging cutting-edge nuclear imaging technologies to improve patient outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to continuously develop professionally through ongoing education, training, and access to the latest medical advancements.

Eligibility Requirements:




  • Must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy




  • Foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)




  • Must have completed an accredited nuclear medicine residency program




  • Must have a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico




  • Must be eligible for board certification in Nuclear Medicine




  • Must be a U.S. citizen to serve on Active Duty or have permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve service
