Sterling Medical is seeking an Part time experienced Radiation Therapy Technologist to join our radiation oncology team at the Long Beach VAMC in Long Beach, CA.

This part-time position (12 hours per week) involves administering prescribed radiation treatments to cancer patients and ensuring the safe operation of radiation therapy equipment.

Responsibilities:

  Administer prescribed radiation treatments using therapeutic radiation equipment at the Long Beach VAMC.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform QA procedures on radiation therapy machines and equipment.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with medical physicists and radiation oncologists to develop radiation therapy plans.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure patient safety by following established protocols and guidelines for radiation treatment.

  
  


• 
  

  May require after-hours availability for machine testing and calibration.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Graduation from an accredited program in Therapeutic Radiologic Technology.

  
  


• 
  

  Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

  
  


• 
  

  At least 1 year of experience in therapeutic radiation, including 3D-CRT, IMRT, and IGRT.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of radiation dose distribution and collaboration with medical physicists and oncologists.
