Broad Top Area Medical Center, operating 12 medical offices in Huntingdon County, PA, is seeking a Dentist who will be responsible for providing comprehensive preventive and limited restorative dental services at its Health Centers.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Provides comprehensive dental care to all patients through evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and restoration.


• Performs exams, x-rays, sealants, prophylaxis and scaling, restorations, and endodontics.


• Provides emergency dental services including prescriptions for pain, extractions, and restorations.


• Provides direct patient education to insure proper preventive measures regarding proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and accident prevention.


• Responsible for accurate record-keeping involving patient records/history.


• Helps provide in-house dental training.


• Performs other duties as assigned by the BTAMC Dental Director.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a School of Dentistry


• Approved by the Pennsylvania State Dental Board


• Previous experience in a dental setting preferred


• Ability to work independently as a team member in a fast-paced environment


• Knowledge of the state and federal laws pertaining to dentistry and HRSA regulations


• Competency in dealing with people of other cultures and social status


• Must be able to lift, carry, and handle dental equipment and supplies needed in routine/emergency care

Licenses or Certifications:

• License to practice dentistry in the State of Pennsylvania


• CPR/AED Certification
