What will you do in this role:



  • Work closely with our care partners to deliver quality care and service

  • Complete admission data collection on all newly admitted residents to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Transfer and discharges residents with appropriate and accurate information

  • Responsible for following through on resident incidents and grievances by taking appropriate action and reporting immediately to supervisor

  • Ensure that nursing service work areas (i.e. nurse’s stations, medicine preparation rooms, resident rooms, treatment areas, etc.) are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day resident and nursing care activities

  • Demonstrate Balfour Service and Operational Values in every encounter

  • Assist with training new care partners

  • Communicate with families, vendors and outside providers to provide the best care possible for residents


You have:



  • Valid and current LPN state license required

  • Knowledge and experience in bedside nursing

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Ability to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrity

  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language

  • Flexibility, and adaptable to change and pace

  • A warm & encouraging disposition


You might also have:



  • Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members

  • CPR Certification

  • IV Therapy Certification


 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:



  • Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. unassisted

  • Ability to push/pull 60 lbs. of resistance

  • Ability to?stand and/or walk for duration of shift

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed

  • May be exposed to unpleasant odors, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens

  • Balfour is a pet-friendly community; you may be exposed to animal hair and dander
