Director of Nursing

The primary purpose of the Director of Nursing is to direct and coordinate resident care, supervise and evaluate all nursing staff, and assure compliance with Federal and State regulations by all nursing staff; and help maintain policies and procedures. The Director of Nursing will work closely with and help direct the Associate Director of Nursing, who is the In-Service Director and the coordinator for Quality Assurance, Disaster and Emergency Preparedness, Care Plans and OSHA for all Departments. The Director of Nursing is also the Infection Control Coordinator. The Director of Nursing must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Nebraska. Must have experience in leadership positions in supervisory and/or administrative areas. Must also have the ability to work and relate well with other department heads and Manor staff. The Director of Nursing will also need the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. This position will require a broad general knowledge in nursing and community health services with continuous updating of this knowledge. Competitive wages and benefits will be offered.
