Ophthalmology Associates, S.C. seeks an experienced full-time Billing Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead a high caliber team of medical billing professionals that support all functions of the department.


• Review medical billing operations, provide recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes.


• Serves as the practice expert and go to person for all coding and billing processes.


• Must have an understanding of Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations and extensive CPT and ICD-10 coding skills, prefer ophthalmology experience.


• Computer literate including knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel. A working knowledge of medical billing software.


• Understanding of all insurance rules and regulations.


• Good Communication skills with patients.


• Supervision of Billing Staff annual reviews, training, insurance credentialing, MIPS, end of the month report processing and management.


• Payor Analysis Reporting.


• Monthly Analysis of all new procedures.


• Prepares and analyzes accounts receivable reports, and weekly and monthly financial reports.


• Ensures that the activities of the billing operations are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall department protocol, and are in compliance with Federal, State and payer regulations, guidelines and requirements.


• Analyze billing and claims for accuracy and completeness; submit claims to proper insurance entities and follow up on any issues.


• Understand all insurance contracts.


• Makes recommendations for change in accordance with established department and company goals.


• Salary commensurate with experience
