ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Work effectively in an interdisciplinary setting to assure safe treatment delivery, minimal side effects, and effective supportive care, involving other team members as appropriate


• Deliver the planned course of radiation therapy in accordance with the prescription


• Assesses patient response and involves other team members as indicated


• Works effectively with other team members to provide ongoing patient education and support


• Participates in initial treatment simulation and continuous verification of accurate treatment fields

Qualifications: License granted by the State of Connecticut, ARRT Board Certified

Education: A.S. Degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited school

Experience: preferred

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

- Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills

- Demonstrates interest in continued personal and professional growth and development

- Strong computer skills, experience with Electronic Medical Record system(s)

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

• -Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, lift weight up to 30 pounds, reach up to 6 feet, transport and transfer patients to and from treatment/simulation couch
