Your day.

 

As a Lead Clearing Account Reconciler, you need to know how to:

 
     
  • Development of new variance tracking tools and reconciliation processes where necessary.
  •  
  • Maintenance of monthly task checks list for the team and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  •  
  • Ensuring timely response to general inquiries.
  •  
  • Preparation of monthly schedules as designated.
  •  
  • Reconciliation of clearing account balances that arise as a result of unapplied, or misapplied or mis-posted cash transactions and journal entries.
  •  
  • Develop and implement transactional reconciliations of GL balances as assigned.
  •  
  • Research, propos and/or coordinate resolution of more complex outstanding transactions with Revenue Cycle and Finance personnel.
  •  
  • Support and train other team members in identifying steps necessary to resolve variances.
  •  
  • Prepare correcting journal entries transactions to clear variances that cannot be prepared within Onbase.
  •  
  • Review of work lists to ensure timely clearing or continuous efforts towards resolution
  •  
  • Staging of EPIC and Oracle data for the reconciliations.
  •  
  • Lead the work of the associates in the department.  Implement directives related to adjusting staffing levels based on service needs and volumes.  Act as a resource and provides technical support.
  •  
  • Participate and lead improvement initiatives and implementation of new procedures. Teach new and evolving best practices.  Coordinate orientation and training of new associates. Ensure staff competency through proper training techniques. 
  •  
  • Participate in problem solving to address issues relating to customer service and regulation issues.  Support and promote effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team and interdepartmentally to facilitate that departments ability to meet its goals and objectives.  Collaborate with department leadership team to coordinate care with other departments and promote the highest level of customer service.

Your experience.

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required
  •  
  • Associates Degree in Accounting, preferred
  •  
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, required         
  •  
  • Advanced Excel Skills & demonstrated analytical and research abilities, required
  •  
  • Prefer Oracle Cash Management and Oracle General Ledger experience
