Your day.




As an EEG Tech you need to know how to:



  • Instructs and prepares patients and equipment for tests.
  • Performs EEG and Evoked Potential testing on patients of all ages in the EEG Department or at the patients bedside. Determines and selects recording parameters based on each patients diagnosis or complaint. 
  • Takes recording, analyzes data, and, with assistance, prepares results for physician. Studies wave characteristics during test to detect evidence of brain disorders.
  • Completes checklists, writes clear narratives and/or enters data into computer files as appropriate. Completes transcription and accurately processes physician orders according to policy.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment.



Your experience.




We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:



  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 yrs. prior experience as an EEG technician OR Graduate of an accredited EEG or END program with 1 year experience as an EEG technician.
  • Board of Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) or the Certified EEG Technician (CET) registry is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience is required.
