Description:

Texas Health Arlington Memorial has a Full Time opportunity with Great Benefits available for a Texas Licensed Paramedic (EMT-P).
This opportunity will be working at our Arlington Hospital campus located at 800 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington, TX 76012.
The work schedule for this opportunity will be night shift, 6p (1800) to 6a (0600) and includes rotating weekends and holidays.
The salary range for this opportunity is from $19.69 to 29.67 based on relevant experience as listed on your resume.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Experience:
Three (3) months recent Paramedic experience or completion of a Paramedic Internship is required.
One (1) year of Paramedic experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic upon hire required for Texas,
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required,
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire required.
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 days of hire required.
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire required.
Skills
Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.

Provides Safe Patient Care
Under Physician Delegation:
Administers IV fluid without additives, saline flush, antiemetic, non-narcotic pain medication and ACLS drugs (excluding drips) using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations
Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record
Provides consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs
Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices
Cervical collar management
External defibrillation
Nasal cannula or oxygen mask application
Nasopharyngeal insertion and removal
Oral airway insertion and removal
Oxygen therapy/delivery
Pacemaker assessment of function
Ultrasound-guided peripheral IV Access
Wound care dressing and application
Incentive spirometry
Other duties as assigned by RN

Provides daily care that achieves outcome targets for core measures, NPSG, employee satisfaction, patient satisfaction, NDNQI and other unit/organizational metrics; demonstrates commitment to lifelong learning and development; demonstrates a commitment to advancing the professional practice of paramedicine; incorporates ethical principles from the Texas Department of State Health Services EMT Code of Ethics. 10%
KPIs Assists in meeting departmental/hospital KPIs related to: Patient outcomes, customer satisfaction, financial performance, organizational effectiveness and community health care.
