Position Highlights



  • Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132

  • Work environment: Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology

  • Work hours: Full-time, 40 Hours; 4 Days a Week, Call Required. For clinical staff we require a 30- minute call response time which includes STEMI calls

  • Salary range: $26.50 - $50.82 per hour (based on relevant experience)

  • $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible RN’s (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)


Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. Position Qualifications


• Associate's Degree Nursing Required.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred 


• Other – CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required


• 1 Year Experience as a Clinical Nurse or completion of an RN residency Required


• 1 Year Experience in Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Preferred


• Experience in ED or ICU Highly Preferred


• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required And


• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required AND


• ACLS – Advance Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required


Position Responsibilities A Registered Nurse with Texas Health Southwest will respond to others’ priorities regarding safety, physical, psychological and social needs.


In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Registered Nurse will


• Complete regular assessments and maintenance of comfort
• Have knowledge of basic physiology and pathophysiology
• Have knowledge of human emotions during health and illness
• Have knowledge of human development across the life span
• Have knowledge of pain and suffering, pain interventions and pain comfort/theories.
• Provide safe patient care as evidenced by:
• Use barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations
• Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Complete assessments accurately and in a timely manner
• Individualize care plans specific to the needs of the patient
• Provide consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient rights and incorporating into daily practice
