Perinatal Sonographer

SCL Health
Denver, CO
Post Date:
January 16, 2020
Job Status:

You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as a Perinatal Sonographer.

Your compassion is tangible: patients feel it in the hand they hold. Families feel it in your prayers. Colleagues feel it in your support.

Youre equally comfortable with operating/maintaining ultrasound imaging and related equipment and educating patients on perinatal ultrasound procedures.

Youre great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.

Typically, a mother-to-be will be referred to our maternal-fetal medicine program for consultations based on the specific circumstances of their pregnancy. We provide a comprehensive range of both outpatient and inpatient consultation services, including:

  • Care for maternal medical complications
  • Fetal abnormalities or anomalies
  • Ultrasound services
  • Diagnostic procedures
  • Genetic and preconception counseling
  • Prenatal screening testing

Patients are frequently referred to us during their pregnancy when complications develop, such as pre-term labor, poor fetal growth, fetal abnormality, or high blood pressure. We also offer diagnostic procedures such as chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, and others as needed if problems develop during their pregnancy. We co-manage their pregnancy with their current OB provider if a medical complication should develop such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease or if they have a previous pregnancy complication such as multiple miscarriages, preterm deliveries, or infertility.

Healthy Living includes financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning.

Together well align mission and careers, values and workplace. Well encourage joy and take pride in our integrity.
