Description:

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is recruiting for a Health Systems Specialist to work at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas


 


SALARY


 


($50,598 - $65,778)


 


 


DUTIES:


 




  • Serves as the primary Data Quality Management Analyst for the Medical Group.


     




  • Collects, aggregates, and ensures the accuracy of all Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Medical Expense and Performance Reporting Systems (MEPRS) data.


     




  • Provides leadership and others the necessary information and interpretation required to make Business Decisions in the best interests of the MTF.


     




  • Gathers and interprets all statistical data as required by the Medical Group.




 




  • Develops and reports metrics required by the organization and higher headquarters.




 




  • Collects and validates financial data received from the Accounting and Finance office through Commander’s Resource Integration System (CRIS) against the Operating Budget Ledger (OBL) and/or other financial listings, based on knowledge of various accounting systems and MEPRS work center definitions.




 




  • Provides financial advice on budget-related matters such as types of funding available, effects of budgetary changes on related activities, status and use of funds, etc.


     


    KEY REQUIREMENTS:


     




  • Must be a US Citizen


     




  • Knowledge of the principles and practices related to the healthcare delivery system, the MTF organizational structure, mission, goals, objectives, work processes, and systems pertinent to the tracking of funding, manpower, utilization, and workload.


     




  • Knowledge of agency budget policies, precedents, regulations, and guidelines; and of sources of medical information about and relating to cost analyses and DoD reports.




 




  • Knowledge of automated data processing concepts, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, processes, and Military Health System (MHS) information systems capabilities.




 




  • Skill in planning, monitoring, assembling, organizing, and in application of analytical methods and techniques, mathematical and statistical analyses to evaluate effects of changes; and to analyze data to prepare/develop healthcare analyses, develop alternatives.
