The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is recruiting for Medical Instrument Technician (Echocardiographer) at Kessler AFB, located in Biloxi, MS.

Incumbent will perform and evaluate a variety of complex cardiac test involving extensive standardized procedures requiring knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions. Operates a variety of complex cardiac testing and analysis equipment and accessories. Performs simple repairs on a wide variety of electrocardiographic equipment. Duties are performed within patient care units such as clinics and wards.


  • U.S. Citizenship

  • 1 year of experience

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Certification and fulfill recertification requirements is desirable

  • A two-year Associates Degree in Applied Sciences recognized by the Society for Cardiovascular Technology or completion of an accredited ultrasound program is desirable

  • Twelve months experience in the specialty clinical service area within the last 36 months is highly desirable
