Job description

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is recruiting for a Medical Instrument Technician (Pulmonary) to work at the United States Air Force Academy located in Colorado Springs, CO. In this position your perform a wide variety of complex magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations of patients to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury while training skill level progressing MRI students while assigned to the Diagnostic Imaging department.

This position will be filled under the Medical Direct Hiring Authority.



I. Must obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance.

2. Position required to be a registered MRI Technician possessing a valid license.  This license must be kept current at all times during employment at this Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

3. ARRT MRI certification is also required, kept current at all times during employment.

4. Position subject to irregular tour of duty, rotating shift-work, weekends, and holidays as duty requires.
