A greatSkilled Nursing Facility (SNF)is looking for an experienced or newly graduated, hard-working Occupational Therapist / OT to join their growing team for an ongoing contract assignment!

The Occupational Therapist / OT is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist / OT will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist / OT must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient's condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate occupational therapy method.

This position is for a Monday through Friday work week with 6-8 hours/day.

Requirements include:

Must have graduated from an accredited school.
Current state license as an Occupational Therapist/ OT or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist/ OT.
Current CPR certification.
Develop a plan of care for each physical therapy patient.
Provide skilled occupational therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders.
Assesses patient needs, plans for, evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Uses clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively.

Promote interpersonal relations with all contacts in the hospital setting.

Represents Maxim in the hospital setting in a positive image by serving as a role model in quality of care

delivered, manner of dress, and professionalism.

Minimum Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse License with in the state of practice.

Prefer minimum of one year acute care experience in the area of expertise within the last three years

preferred.

Current Health Certificate (if applicable).

Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.

Current ACLS/PALS (per facility requirement).

Current BLS.

Successful completion of the Maxim clinical specialty screening with a score of 80% or greater.

Full command, verbal and written of the English language.

Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process.

Maxim Staffing Solutions is looking to bring on Telemetry RN's for full time, per diem, and part time work. Currently, we are looking to fill 2 Tele RN positions within two of our local hospitals. We are looking for team players, exceptional clinical skills, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic in all of our candidates.
