Job Description: The position requires developing technology to design ballistic-resistant window cross-sections based on individual material properties as well as the response of laminates to blast and ballistic impacts. The candidate will provide guidance to a technical team based on previous experience with ballistic threats and armor design. Company develops and manufactures ballistic-resistant transparency products. The successful candidate will support the development of more advanced products and will focus on accelerating the development process through technical and project management experience.
Job Experience: Minimum 5+ to 7 years experience
Doctoral
Experience and Education
The candidate should have at least 5 years of practical experience in armor or security glazing technologies. The experience might have been gained from related work in the industry, government agencies and laboratories, or academia. Knowledge of impact physics and high strain rate material properties is required. Experience with ballistic threats and armor design is also a prerequisite.

Previous work on DOD contracts is a benefit, but not a requirement.

Candidates should have a PhD degree in mechanical engineering or physics.
