Job Description: Situated along the Snake River at the western edge of the world famous Rocky Mountains, Idaho Falls has all the features of big city living, but still embraces a small town charm. Our skyline consists of the majestic Teton Mountain Range, and in our backyard is the world's most famous park - Yellowstone.

PROFILE:
  • Client has 2 adult inpatients units & 1 child & adolescent unit.
  • 16 bed adult locked unit; average daily census: 11.
  • 12 bed adult open unit; average daily census 7.
  • 18 bed child & adolescent unit; average daily census 11 to 12.
  • Average length of stay on all 3 units is 7 to 8 days.
  • Units are covered by 4 Psychiatrists plus the Locum Tenens (LT) Psychiatrist.
  • The LT will not follow any child patients but will follow adolescent patients occasionally and may give an admission order for an occasional child patient while on call.
  • The LT Doctor must be comfortable with adolescents, but will not see any patients under 12.
  • Client has 1 child & adolescent Psychiatrist who can see the children.
  • Call is 1 night per week.
  • There could be some weekend call. Our Doctor needs to be flexible to share in the weekend call schedule, if needed.
  • Primary care physicians & PAs do physicals for H&Ps for new admissions.
