Job Description: Work on an Adolescent unit on a 100% inpatient basis. You will be responsible for 12 inpatients, and will be working closely with another Child Psychiatrist. This is a discrete unit. You can leave as soon as all your patients have been seen. NO CALL (call is optional and paid additionally). Patients are mainly HMO/Managed Care. They have very good utilization management so the doctor is not buried in paperwork. This is a salaried position with full benefits.

PRIVATE PRACTICE ADD-ON: In addition to FT inpatient, you have the option to add on a couple extra hours in the outpatient clinic as well - this would be paid extra either at the same hourly rate as the salary breaks down to or on a per patient basis - whichever you prefer. You can also add on hours in their partial child program. For a very nominal rental fee (it's a token rent), you can also use your office for your own private practice, and cherry pick the patients you want to see from the inpatient side. You can choose to handle the billing and collections yourself, or have the staff there handle it and roll it through the outpatient side. It's the easiest way to start a successful private practice with very little overhead!
Job Experience: Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in either Adolescent Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Practicing and fellowship grads welcome
Salary / Benefits: $160K out of training; $170K-$175K depending on experience and board certification.
