According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities for careers in home health services will be excellent as more facilities begin to offer healthcare to patients in their home. The physician will continue to monitor the patient's condition, but a home care professional must be able to complete care independently. Jobs in home health care include nurses, home aides, nursing assistants and physical therapists. Educational requirements for each position vary, and some states may require that all professions register or pass a certification examination before administering care to patients in their home. Depending on the position, an individual working in home health services can earn $10 per hour for a home aide, or $65,000 and above for a registered physical therapist.
