Job Description:

The Order Set Project Specialist (PS) will assist in the development, coordination and implementation of evidence-based clinical order sets. The PS will be instrumental in working with the Information Services Department to integrate the order sets into the functionality of any pertinent electronic medical record systems. The PS will work with the Order Set Development Teams at each hospital, and will collaborate with the parallel work being led by medical leadership, the Clinical Information Systems teams, and the pharmacy. The PS should be a strong, results-oriented individual with clinical experience who is self-directed towards accomplishing project tasks, and who can work well with a team, especially physicians, in a time-sensitive, challenging environment. This position reports to the Vice President of Quality & Patient Safety, with a dotted-line responsibility to the Vice President of Medical Affairs at our Hospital, and the Senior Medical Director at our Hospital Center. Qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in clinical sciences, nursing degree or related field, Masters preferred. 2. 2+ years relevant clinical experience required with strong assessment skills and excellent independent decision making ability. 3. Exposure to project management. 4. Good team leadership skills, strong influence and negotiation skills. 5. Demonstrated computer literacy to include Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 6. Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards related to acute care hospitals. 7. Good oral and written communication skills. 8. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
